About Us

Our Story

Stanley & Davis began with a job share, a shared philosophy and a belief that HR could be done differently.

Jen Stanley and Laura Davis first worked together as HR Managers in a job-share arrangement. Laura started the week, Jen finished it, and somewhere along the way, they realised they made a pretty good team!

Not only did they get on brilliantly, but their skills naturally complemented one another. Laura brought a meticulous eye for detail, a structured approach and a focus on getting things right. Jen brought a collaborative, energetic style, a natural understanding of people and a passion for developing confident, capable leaders.

But what really brought them together was their shared belief about HR.

That great people management shouldn't be complicated.

They believed HR should be about more than policies, procedures and employment legislation. It should empower business owners and managers to lead with confidence, make good decisions and create workplaces where people can thrive.

And so, Stanley & Davis was born.

Our Philosophy

That original philosophy continues to shape Stanley & Davis today.

We believe the most successful organisations are those that recognise the connection between their people, their culture and their performance.

Employees want more than simply a job. They want to feel valued, understand the contribution they make and have the freedom and confidence to do their best work.

And managers play a vital role in making that happen.

That's why our approach goes beyond traditional HR support. We work alongside business owners and leaders, providing practical advice, strategic guidance and hands-on expertise to help them navigate challenges, develop their people and build stronger organisations.

From everyday HR matters to complex employee relations, organisational change and leadership development, our focus remains the same.

To make HR straightforward, develop confident leaders and help businesses get the very best from their people.

Practical advice. Trusted relationships. Inspiring performance.
