Jen & Laura’s journey began when they started working together in a ‘job share’ as HR Manager.  Laura started the week and Jen finished the week.  

It was the perfect match, not only did they get on very well and have lots in common they soon realised their skill sets complimented each other. But, (and probably most importantly) they shared the same views about Human Resources – or more simply, people in the work place, and of course the role of people managers and business leaders.  

Laura is detail-oriented and thorough.  She works to ensure things don’t fall through the cracks.  Driven to achieve operational efficiencies.  Laura thinks about what needs to be done and how it can be done as fast as possible while maintaining high-quality outcomes.  Jen’s style is to work collaboratively.  She has an intuitive understanding of team cohesion, dynamics, and interpersonal relations.  Jen has a strong sense of urgency, initiative and competitive drive to get things done, with emphasis on working with and through people in the process. 

Jen and Laura’s aspiration for Stanley & Davis is to empower business owners to get the best out of their people, without over-complicating and over-legalising people processes. They coach and develop people managers to improve their practical application, confidence and give them fresh ideas to change mindsets - creating people practices fit for today.
